In the fall of 2000, Andrew Nicholson(The Kiwis), Derek Presnall(Tilly and the Wall), and Jack Hines(The Black Lips), formed the infamous band known as FNDB(Finally Next Day Blinds). By the Summer of 2001 the group grew to include almost 30 members, many of whom went on to form such bands as: The Black Lips, Deerhunter, Tilly and The Wall, The Kiwis, The Spooks, Chopper, Flowers Forever, Nana Grizol, Georgiana Starlington, The Super Madrigal Bros, and Cumshot DF. On June 29th 2001, we played our first and only show at the 40 Watt in Athens, Ga. Only about 50 people were there to witness this event, attendees included Michael Stipe and members of Neutral Milk Hotel among others. 30 Minutes into the set the sound guy cut off our mics and killed the power to our amps and instruments. There are only 2 VHS copies of this show in existence but now everyone can enjoy this rare live performance. Members whom performed at this show were: Ben Eberbaugh, Derek Presnall, Andrew Nicholson, Adam Bruneau, Colin Mee, Jack Hines, Ben Crum, Theo Hilton, Cole Alexander, and Rene. When the sound guy cut the microphones he told Cole to “Just pretend to be professionals and get off the stage”, you can hear Cole mocking him at the end. After this show Derek moved to Omaha and Jack moved to South Carolina. The remaining members of FNDB went on to form “The Spooks”.
